Kakuro Master is a Sudoku-like math puzzle game. If you enjoy logic games such as crossword puzzles, or number games such as Sudoku, you’ll enjoy Kakuro Master.
The object of Kakuro Master is to fill in rows and columns with numbers 1-9 to add up to the sum of a number listed at the top of a column, end of a row, or in the middle of either one. There are lots of different grid choices and number combinations. Sure to give your brain a workout.
It took me awhile to get the hang of the game, but I’m not very good at logic games. When you first enter the game, there is a menu selection the includes rules, levels easy, medium, and hard, and of course play. I wish there was an easier way to get to the rules from the game itself. I had to back out of the game to go to the main menu to refresh my memory on certain guidelines. However, there are some helpful hints included in the game grid.
The good part is that if you do leave a game to go back to the menu, your moves will remain. I left a current game, came back in, and was able to pick up where I left off. I also like that the grid and numbers are nice and big. That makes them a lot easier to see.
To fill in a number, left click or tap the square you want the number in. A box appears with the set of numbers. Just click or tap the one you want and it will fill in the cell you selected. You can change the numbers anytime you want to make sure the puzzle is correctly filled in.
Kakuro Master is free. It is a great little game for traveling and just to pass the time.
