App still needs some work, doesn't stream any videos and the lack of scrolling using the scroll wheel is bothering me as well.

This app works much better than streaming through the web. No audio/video sync issues. There seems to be some issues with connecting to the Netflix service occasionally. No previously viewed listing which makes it a little cumbersome to continue watching a television series or to finish a movie.

Fails to play most videos with video driver error

My video driver is fine -- Netflix in the browser works great. But this app errors out before playing most videos.

For now; my only option is to watch Netflix on the Desktop. Because although this looks really good. It doesn't play ANYTHING. I get error W8156-8004B82E.

The app was working fine for a day or so... now constant W8106-101 errors when attempting to stream. No issues browsing content or streaming video in other Windows 8 apps.

I just recently bought a new computer with Windows 8. The first time that I ran the Netflix app it worked flawlessly. Now every time after that, the app crashes within the first 10seconds of the video... Netflix always seems to have little bugs/issues which make it questionable if whether or not the paid subscription is really worth it.

I was getting the error message for drivers after my video loaded to 97% or 99%. I resolved it by going to Windows update and installing all available updates and then restarting my computer. It all worked fine afterwards.

App works great and great quality video after video card update, which the app explained in the error it gave. Search is super simple from Windows and the UI is much easier to use then the Xbox. For those of you complaining about no search. Go learn how to use Windows 8s search feature then come back and rerate this app, search is there you just don't know how to work Windows 8 yet.

Had a drive issue but it was resolved quickly, now works just fine. Looks great and works as expected. To the post below me, if you wish to search, use the search on the Charm bar to the right. Just click search and start typing. You can even search from the start screen without opening the app.

What is up with the Driver notice?

I test Win 8 on my desktop before launch on dual boot works fine, still can boot from there and play 100% of the time. So I buy Win 8, install on the SAME computer SAME hardware but doesn't work. Same on my laptop! My drivers are all up-to-date and certified. I know I can watch on browser, but why make an app when even surface people are having problems with this app? All other apps work just fine on this PC so this issue is with this APP. Please fix!!!

Finally figured out what was wrong, if you have Hyper-V installed, then this app does not work. I uninstalled Hyper-V and this app started working. Please let this APP work with Hyper-V installed. I need that!

Better in-app search rather than just the W8 contract adhesion would be really appreciated. Love the app, well design, clean, fluid and works really well, at least in my experience.

I love some Netflix, but have a brand new Alienware with the latest NVidia windows 8 drivers for my GTX 555 GPU and it said my drivers are crappy...

I just lowered my review Playback should continue when I switch between apps. I can do this with the desktop mode browser playback. When multitasking and switching between apps I like to be able to listen to the action even if I can't see it. I doubt I'm the only one! I just started playing with windows 8 and like it, though this is the type of 'too few options' annoyance that needs to be remedied in order for the system to reach its full potential. Every program/app needs an options menu.

Everytime I try to watch a video, it gets hun up on 97%. To make things worse, there's some bug with IE 10 that won't let me get to the Netflix site. Finally got it working on Firefox. What's up? How did this get past the certification?

It seems that this app wont let me sign in by saying" Your account has been cancelled or is on hold".... my account is certainly not on hold nor cancelled. Fix for this, Netflix?? edit: tried again a month later and still not functional.

While I love the look and feel of the app, I see one huge problem. Update: after the most recent update, it still does not play well with a 3 monitor setup. If you start the video on one monitor and move it to the others, often the audio plays but video freezes, or no video plays at all. PLEASE FIX

Pros : - Nice interface. - Navigation is pleasant and easy -The search option on the charm bar work real great on Netflix, help you find a movie really quickly. - Offer the same video quality as the desktop version. Cons : - Slow loading time (5 second on my desktop).

Will not load any videos. It gives me the error code W8158 and tells me it failed to load drivers. All my drivers are up to date. It works fine in the desktop IE but not the application :(

Worked yesterday and now doesn't

Installed App yesterday and was able to stream content, now today sits and spins at 97% loading...When it did work it was fine. I like the interface as it allows you to see more content in one view. Update: Uninstalled AMD HD Radeon software and now works. Just need HD playblack now.

The app works really well. I don't think I have seen a device run Netflix with this much beauty before. Here are my minor complaints that have huge potential: When Netflix is running in the 1/3 screen mode, the subtitles should use up the empty blank space so that the words could show up larger. Also, there is a mild lag when changing size. Just thought of this... we should be able to pin a TV series or movie to the start menu!

Like many Modern UI apps, control with the keyboard isn't really that great. Netflix is a little better than some apps, but still poor. Ideally, I should be able to navigate the whole UI with arrow keys plus Enter and Escape. However, even Tab and Shift+Tab would be acceptable, if a little annoying, to go between different sections. Finally, I couldn't seem to control the video playback with keyboard shortcuts either. That's the worst part.

Who on earth thinks WHITE letterboxing is ok? Also the cursor doesn't hide. Also you need to hire a better technical writer to write your update notes: "In this release we fixed bugs and added features". No shit its like writing "In this update we updated the app."
